2The short answer is no. But we will find our lives change for the better. We will find freedom from the ways of life and attitudes that we may have felt trapped by. All Christians have God’s Spirit living in them to help them grow and change. But that doesn’t change the fact that we’re in a world full of other things trying to pull us away from Jesus and reading the Bible.

Jesus never promised His friends that life would be easy. In fact Jesus told them that they would have trouble in this world. But with Him, there is a peace and confidence, even on our worst days. Why? He defeated sin and death when He came back to life. Even on our worst days, we know Jesus is in charge and He will get us to heaven.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
